I feel like I've lost a friend as well. Sharing similar interests (Batman, Herbie, models) online, but still...I hope he finds peace at least.

I haven't seen a Batpod on this topic so thought I would offer up mine.  It was built during a 12 hour Christmas build in 2011.  A few added details - hand control wiring, stainless steel wire steering arm, brake lines and drilled out rear disk.  A nice, simple build with only two colours to paint.

I have seen numerous builds of this kit with the knee pads on backwards or mounted incorrectly.  The instructions are pretty clear on how they attach.

Is that 1/25th scale? Is it Robin's new ride?

Yes it's 25th scale...sort of, and no, it's Batman's secondary ride in the latest spate of movies. It's actually supposed to be a part of the Tumbler.

Congrats Fred, on a well deserved win. :)

Thanks guys.

I also won another batmobile kit in the raffle.  I'm thinking either lowrider or pickup...

Thanks!  The dash detail is painted.  I really should take some new pictures- the camera I have now is tremendously better than the one I used to take these pics.
