I built this almost a year ago from the Model King issue. Box stock excep for wheels, tires, and headers. Paint is Duplicolor Ford Royal Blue. I had no particular reason to build it, I just liked the box art and it was something different.

hey casey, you don't need a reason to build such a cool ride. i have just gotten back into collecting models again and this was the first one i bought. the awb cars were a milestone in drag racing history. i think it was the most inovative time in drag racing. people built all kinds of weird and cool cars. drag racing tends to be very generic. who is winning with what combo is the flavor of the month and everybody runs the same setup until the next big thing comes along. in the early days racers used cads, fords, chevys, studebackers, packards and what ever they could get. that is the spirit of the awb cars i think. anyway, yours is way too cool.
