I've had to move a ton of posts from this area to the "Wanted" section.

Pay attention here... I'll go slow:

"Trading Post" is the area for posting up items that you already have and are willing to trade.

"Wanted" is the area to post up requests for items that you do not already have, but want to obtain. Hence the "Wanted" title.

Get it? It's not that difficult, people! Come on... take a second or two and think about what it is you're posting, and where it's supposed to be posted.

Also give some idea of what you want in trade for your stuff.
Specific kits if possible.

"Trading Post" is the area for posting up items that you already have and are willing to trade.

"Wanted" is the area to post up requests for items that you do not already have, but want to obtain.

To add to Harry's comments, please do not post the same item in both the Trading Post and Wanted sections. Pick either one based on the rules Harry posted and people will find it.

If you change your mind and add something to trade for what you want, please ask a Mod to move your post from one section to the other, or you can delete your old post yourself and start a new one.

For grey area items, please do not post the same thing in both the Model Cars and Model Trucks Trade/Wanted sections. Pick one section, whichever you feel fits your item best, based on the category designations.

Motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, bicycles and other items which are non-car/truck items, but still automotive kit-related, should be posted in the Model Cars: Trading Post or Wanted sections. Parts and accessories/parts which can be used on both cars and trucks, such as emergency vehicle light bars, tires, wheels, engines, and decals should also be posted in the Model Cars: Trading Post or Wanted sections unless they are kit parts sourced from a truck kit or are a part which is normally used on a model truck. For example, if you're looking for a Detroit Diesel engine, a set of mudder off-road tires, a headache rack, a topper, an axle truss, Rubber Duck hood ornament, or a wrecker boom, those all should be posted in the Model Truck Trade/Wanted section.

If you're unsure about where to post or have any questions, please PM a moderator and ask one of us.

Just had an ongoing conversation with Michigan Madman, Chuck Most. He asked if I'd received his end of the trade and explained his policy is to never do anything with what he receives until the other party is happy with what they receive. Seems like a good way to ensure mutual satisfaction.

This is how I've always done it. With 1:1 parts, etc. Seems like a pretty reasonable thing to do.

That's how I've always done it- that way if something goes bad (kit turns out not to be the one the other party wanted, or it gets damaged/lost in the mail, etc.), I can at least return the kit to them, in exactly the same condition it was when it arrived.

You're supposed to do something with the parts and kits you trade for?

I have done this also . I open my end up and check them out . I then notify the other party . I wait until I know they received their end and are happy . I think i shall continue doing this .          Thanx ..

This is simply logical to my mind. That some would NOT do this is simply foreign to me.

     *Common Sense Guide to Modeling*

Rule # 1, in the common sense guide to Modeling,  Make sure each member of the party trading, is happy, and or, Ok with there trade, and or have recevied there package,.

Rule #2  If not, said party my NEVER trade with first party again. and first party will be blackball.

Rule # 3 put traded model on shelve with others to be built.
