A beauty! Probably the best 49 Merc I've seen. The paint work is excellent. I like the diorama, too. I thought the first photos were of a real car you were copying!

Very, very nice work !! Nice dio also, although I'd suggest Evergreen has some grooved plastic that would improve those doors. I think that would make that dio so much more convincing. And one more thing, looks like the owner needs some Roundup on those weeds poking though the drive ! :-)

i took note for the garage doors...so true ! i didn't build that diorama but ask a frind to build it because i knew nothing in those construction techniques..but i think i could improve the doors, you're right

That is one beautiful '49 Merc.... You did an awesome job on this. I do have to ask what color did you lay down first and what type of paint did you use on this. It is just gorgeous!!

orange was the first coat i use automotive acrylic paint and clear

That black Merc in the garage looks sharp too. I don't remember seeing it featured under glass. How bout some full pics of it too?

Those gold scallops are fantastic. What a great Merc. In the sun it looks flawless. Great job..
