Thanks Sully and Dr. Cranky! Much appreciated!

I was thinking about putting some white Army "stars" on the doors...

I know this goes against the grain, but I think it would look cool with a nicely built six cylinder. Maybe add six injectors with short stacks and a header on it.

LOL Roger! That would be cool for a 2WD truck, but this one is sporting 46" IROKs :o I don't think the six would power it

I'm using the LS from the SSR kit as pictured, with the oil pan from the '99 Silverado kit. As soon as the drivetrain is painted/detailed/installed, I'll post a few pics...

A friend had an old '66 K20 with the 292 L6 and while he never would win a drag race, it had tons of torque and would pull ANYTHING ! He used it to plow snow in the winter and pull a twin axle construction trailer in the summer with no problem. I like the idea of the modern drivetrain but that L6 could be cool too!

That truck is looking way cool and I like the olive drab color. Not sure if the white stars on the doors would enhance or detract from its appeal to me but it might seem appropriate considering the color. Maybe the .50 cal gun from the Hogans Heroes Jeep mounted on the back?

Yep Gordon, but not the ones from the kit I got from you in trade...

These were resin axles cast years ago from a friend that did offroad stuff exclusively.

I will be using the set from your kit though for casting by Alan @ Ma's resin.

Great work Jeff..This build is right up my alley!! I personally like the color selections you made. I think it would look awesome with some white military lettering/numbers on the body and possibly white stars on the doors. Im looking forward to seeing it completed,,Take care buddy B) Nate

I don't belive that! lol!
How about some pics of the chassis and the mounts for the springs and leafs?
Like to see how you did it as a future project I have planned will be using the same kind of setup.
