I agree with William about those 6 hood thing a ma bobs. I do like the car but I think it would look much better in a different color.

If they followed how the car is setup, there should be a set of hoodsides, a regular louvered top peice, plus a pair of veleocity stacks with air filters, as Stacey has the actual car set up to be able to run all 3 ways.
As far as the color goes, I told him to paint it RED! B)

count me as one against those do dads on the hood, thats exactly what i thought when i saw them: those stick on things that look like buick portholes or something. other than that i like the car itself and the parts look great so this is one i am looking forward to.

Sand, Fill, Primer. There, the stupid things on the hood are gone. Pretty simple, yeah?

not, for example, if you are building box stock!

Some of the pics show it with front cycle fenders, some don't.

The cycle fenders are removable on the 1:1, again, intentional on Stacey's part to allow for different looks on the car.

Blown streetable SBC
Headers intended for the Deuce
Awesome wheel/tire combo
An all new interior
Cycle fenders

Just these things alone are worth buying the kit IMO. And about the thingies on the hood - who cares really? Anyone who I know who likes building street rods has at least half a dozen "regular" hoods in their parts box from the other Revell '32s.
Now after this comes out and becomes an instant hit, just like all the previous '32s Revell has released, I am wondering when are they finally going to make something completely different. How about a '32 with Kugel suspension? Both IFS and IRS. How about a Vicky or a two door (phantom) Phaeton? They really need to develop a new chassis set up for the Deuces.

Tower Hobbies lists a retail price of $19.99 for this kit, which is a few dollars less than expected. :)

Hi,

I'm looking forward to this one very much - and I do like the colour! I'll probably do one as a replica and then have 2 or 3 for parts - if this is as crammed as the 5-window kit it'll be great (although since its depicting a particular car spares may be limited to unused parts on old sprues they use for the basics of the kit).

Does anyone know if it'll come with a rumble seat like the original? It'll be good for a '32 cabriolet I'm building as they came with rumble seats.

Cheers,

Jim

^_^
Built up or for parts, I will be checking it out.
Over all as a kit, looks to be "very" interesting!
To Revell, I appreciate your efforts and I Thank You!
Keep trying.

The old highboy is getting increasingly difficult and expensive to obtain so this refresh and update will be welcome. The new motor and other details will be especially useful. Bring it on!

Well the few things I don't care for about the kit, are vastly overshadowed by the things I do like. I'm looking forward to adding this to my stash.

Same here jantrix. Gotta build one at least. And 3-4 more at least for parts box fodder. Can't have too many small block chevys kicking around.

I rather doubt it, but I have many rumble-seat seats that came in the old AMT '32 roadster kit I'll never ever use. They will of course fit pretty well.
