Looks like the same cab, too. And I think the MaxxForce15 is a 15L engine.

I have had boxes arrive that looked like they'd been kicked all the way from China to my door...
This box came in really good shape - We have learned to double box everything - this tends to reduce the number of balls - o- cardboard that I get.
The real problem with this mock-up was that it was just not packed well.
This ProStar is a 15L ProStar same as our LoneStar -
The 13L is also available in ProStar in real life. However we don't have tooling for the 13L and it is an entirely different engine with no parts comon to the 15L.
The 15L is a decendant of the Cat C-15 I'd have to do some digging to find the linneage of the 13L..

If I am not mistaken(and I could verywell be) International bought the rights to all of Cats truck engine,so I am prettysure the 13L engine is also from the C-13 base.

We are working on Box art for the Great Dane trailer now--It's One of several projects that our art director is working on.
I'm sure that we'll post it once we get it done..

I knew that the MaxxForce 11 and 13 were based on European engines jus didn't remember the specifics.
My recollection is that Navistar acquired all of Cat's over the road engines when Cat decided to get out of the over the road truck business..

I just received photos of the revised mock-up - only one small item to still be revised - Hopefully that'll get done within the next week or so - then tooling can start!
Hope to have first test shot by mid June or so..

Imatruker is correct the smaller Maxforce was a joint venture between Navistar and MAN an Austrian truck builder. The rights to the Cat c15 were part of deal between Cat and Navistar involving the new Cat vocational trucks. Any way thanks Dave looking good.

I have used the postal service to ship models and 80% of the time they get here fine except small stuff like mirrors 'smoke s tacks etc.But even with fragile plastered on the boxes i got a few that looked like they got droopped out of a airplane .I finally straightened out my mailman. he doesnt like to bring packages to the door.so he trys to stuff them in the mailbox. One looked llike he took his foot and shoved the box in i didnt think i was goin to be able to get it out.ups aint no better i bought a power board from my tv shipped ups got it the box was smashed and the board was completely shattered in 4 pieces so dont know if you can trust any of them LOL

Trailers should ship by end of this month - in stores maybe by middle of August.
Expecting ProStar 1st test shots in my hands around 1st of next month. After I have the test shot I'll have a better notion as to possible release date for ProStar..
