First, I framed a wall with scale 2'x 4" lumber.

So Ken what are the dimensions for a 1/25th scale 2X4? ( In memory of Lou).

Seriously though this is why you are the MASTER. Also this is why I took up 1/87th your work is inspiring. Hope to see this in person some day.

Here's the just-finished entrance to the Arcade building......

Nothing short of beautiful, Hamilton. And you got the graffiti to look just right too. The scene is coming together so well. Can't wait to see the truck loading up up front . . . the machines connecting the two parts of the diorama.

Here's the back side of the wall in place in front of the former window opening.
I still need to dirty it up a little bit. Again, not a detail that will jump out, but it
adds a little more interest to the scene:

Here's a little bit of an update:
I finished the insert for inside the Arcade building's doorway. There's a small
ticket window to the right and a damaged wallpaper mural on the back wall:



When the interior is in place it's not really obvious, but that's the idea....
Just something that looks like an entrance in the background.

....here's a little detail I can't resist sharing....
Remember that roof-top clothesline?



Well, you can't have a clothesline without clothes pins.....



I made about a dozen of these last night, using laminated .010" stripwood
and Micro-ballons (used as filler for super glue & resin) for the round tops.

How you even begin to figure out the scale for it, amazing. Can't wait to see them on the line. You are now totally engrossed in the smallest of details, and the payoff is wonderful.
