whats up havent posted anything on this site in a while
i got this 55 chevy street machine kit on friday and had the intention in turning it into an altered wheelbase
heres where im at as of saturday night

i couldnt stand the rear wheel wells so i had a revell 55 chevy vert i swapped the rears so i could put the stock wheel wells back on it

how much i cut out, no measuring i just eye balled it the whole time, took me like 3 hours to cut up the whole car and put it back

also i got out the file and made the hole in the hood more square, i cant stand the hood scoop the kit came with, not using it!

heres the main body colour im using, testors mystic emerald

and for the roof and the rear trunk lid, im undecided, i think i want to do flake but not sure, heres what im leaning towards


or maybe i dont want to use the flake and just go with the testors white lightning?....

I would go with a period color for this. It's too nice already.

lately i have been bitten by the altered wheelbase "bug"!! i like them alot more then gassers!

im going for more of a clean 70's street style paint job, thinkin maybe just the roof in flake?... im still unsure yet, and i dont have any decals for it at all either
any ideas in colors?

new wrinkle wall slicks from speed city resin
new chevy hilborn injection from speed city resain
shortened pontiac rear end
almost time for some paint!!!! just gathering up what i need for it}

heres a pontiac i painted while i was building this 55 chevy, the pontiac isnt finished yet

i got some bmf on the trim on this the other day and heres where im at now, its pretty much finished other then the name being painted on and a few clear coats, i hope you guys like it

heres the name i came up with! i'll hand paint it on as soon as i can find a small enough brush to do it!!
