A lot of 'car guys' should buy Shep Paine's figure book.
A lot of "car guys" could learn lots from other modelling disciplines like Model Railroading, military and etc..

Amen. Everyone owes themselves a good look around at the tables of a good IPMS contest, especially if they get a chance to go to the nationals or even a good figure show. It can be at once intimidating, entertaining, eye opening, inspiring and educational. All the amazing detail and finishes, and they still consider us car guys amazing because we know the secrets to a glass-smooth finish
