Got this one just so I could finish something quickly and break out of my rut, 3 days over two weekends. Kit is the Revell snap kit, paint is Testors Bright Calypso Metallic lacquer (I know, a Ford color on a Chevrolet lol), polished with Tamiya coarse and find compounds. Wheels, I think, are from the Revell Monte Carlo snap kit. Just feels good to finish one...lol. Hope you like it! :)

Looks fantastic and the color fots that car perfectly too!

Looks great for a snapper.

Good job, and I like the paint color.

I have to hand it to Revell for this whole line of snappers, they may be simple kits but make for great models......and they're priced in the mid teens too!

Saw this in the LHS on sale for a song. Didn't pick it up as the pictures on the box weren't all that impressive. Sorry I didn't now. This looks fab and i figure it would make a nicer shelf model than the AMT kit. Would I be right?

I'd say the Revell snap kits look better than the old AMT kit. But, despite that I just bought another AMT '63 this last Thursday. They depict two different types of Corvettes equipment wise. The old AMT kit kit has an engine, where the Revell is a curb side. AMT's Corvette has fuel injection badging, cast aluminum wheels, and a four-speed transmission. Revell's depicts a car with no fuel injection, standard wheel covers, Powerglide and rare for '63 factory air conditioning. Which do I like better? It's a toss up. I like the idea of a car with air. But, I really like early Vettes with fuel injection. And since the fuel injected Sting Rays had solid lifters, you could not get factory air with them.

By the way, I own several of each.

Scott
