The car is a 1955-57 Suzuki Suzulight.

Almost all of you said 1957, and they looked the same, but actually this is a 1955 model.

Actually when you look closely at that face, you see some hints of the mini cooper.

I can't see any diff.....cept the front plate...




Now the 2005 model......that should be made by Pixar Studios...

Actually when you look closely at that face, you see some hints of the mini cooper.

It is really similar to early Nissans and Austins - mainly because Nissan worked with Austin in the 50s - but I don't know if Suzuki did as well. Looks like they did or just used the same design.

What's the reason for the off road suspension? Did Japan have many paved roads at that time?

Look closely at the photos. The car is literally jacked up with portable jacks. My guess would be to keep the weight and stress off the suspension while the car is displayed.

The jacks ...lol ... Ok , I'm done laughing . This is a clue on how it rode . Like a Jeep . "Rock Steady" describes the ride . Not only a Rock Song . Also , possibly a boobie trap . Get too close and they gotcha , as the car falls on you . Remember ..no touching ! Thanx ..
