Not part of the Monogram 1/24 series. That is the Revell 1/25. It was issued as "Sneaky Pete" with

simulated Peterbilt nose, Billy Carter's Redneck Pickup, and many more, but not this group.

The Revell squarebody is a horrible, horrible kit and should generally be forgotten about.

Are you sure? The cab and interior seem to be the same as the plow truck and the ground pounder Chevy . It doesn't seem to share anything else, but the cab sure looks similar. I've never seen the insides of a sneaky pete kit or Billy Carters to compare though i guess.

The Revell Chassis parts, frame, Axles, springs are Thin and flimsy!!

I built the Sneaky Pete. and had the Midnite Cowboy tow truck version

that had the same 'Peterbilt' hood.

I chopped an LA County Sherrif's Bronco kit into a cab and added the tow truck bed there.

Are you sure?

Yes. The 1/24 Revell and 1/24 Monogram '73-'86 Chevy/GMC kits are totally separate kits, and not related. The only thing they share in common is the fact the most recent release, the 1/24 '77 GMC 4x4 with Snowplow is labelled as a Revell kit this time around, but it is in fact the same old kit originally designed and sold by Monogram.

I take Chris' comments to mean he won't be doing a history on the 1/25 Revell kit series.  -_-

I suppose I could, even though I really hate the kit. I'm actually working on the MPC El Camino right now... :)

I always love finding new data! An original issue Blazer just popped up on eBay (clicky) and it shows that even in the first issue the door handles were mini and the wheels are actually 6-bolt!

I've got an original issue Blazer here if you'd like pics of any of it's parts.

What about the Snow Patrol pick up? or was it Revell? I can remember the box art but not who made it.

Snow Patrol is the Revell kit. I'm working on the Revell history article right now; there are a couple kits I have next to no information on, may have to just post it up anyway! :)

A van list would be great!!!! Hint, hint.

I just checked my first issue Blazer, the box art shows big door handles but the body inside has the tiny offset ones.

I'll leave the vans to Casey, they're more his bailiwick. ;)
