I went to school with friends who had VW's very much like that. Nice job and welcome to the forum.

LOVE IT!!!!!

It looks almost like mine!

Very nice job with the rust and body panels, it looks extremely convincing. Almost thought it was a 1:1 before I took a better look at the photos! B)

That's most excellent!!

Great job ... but just one question: However did those wheels and tires escape the ravages of time?

Very convincing.

Feedback?

How about you tell us what you did?

I thought I was looking at the real car you were planning to build a scale model of.

You know... shooting pictures into the sun is generally not suggested. But you really pulled it off here as it tends to convince the eye that this is actually a full size VW. Very impressive use of "Solar flair" and glare. Of course the bug is quite nice too, weathering and all. (I gotta try that)

Great weathering, and nice details! The dent in the roof, broken headlight cover, and rust holes in the left rear fender really add realism to it. The photos look very real!

That's a really thoughtful weathering job ... very much like it happens in 1:1. The dents are especially well done! I had a '53 the same color ... it was just slightly less weathered.. :)

Wow thanks for the great feed back guys. I'm starting my revell samba bus this weekend, but oh dear the roof is so badly warped it's unreal. Great fun to come then.
