My only complaint about this kit ( and a lot of other drag kits ) is that the front wheels and tires are too wide. I'd like to see more realistic front wheel/tire combos.

While you say it's a fine kit which it is as I have three built, a couple started and a few unbuilt, all this kit is different decals and NO more as I noticed from your review that Revell still did NOT add another seat which IS required for the gasser classes but not for match racing. Thumbs down for Revell for not fixing this detail.

Ordered mine last night! I really like this kit also i have 4 versions of it built but i wish they would offer some options like wheels, tires and engines instead of them all being exactly the same except for the decals.

Revell will replace missing or defective parts. They won't send you extra parts that are not part of the original load-out. But it's up to the individual to be honest in their requests.

If that were true what you say about Revell, they would have added the second bucket seat as I'm SURE this issue has been brought up before. Nuff said?

I haven't heard anyone else complain about the lack of a second seat in this kit, and it's pretty much regarded one one of Revell's best kits of the last decade or so by most builders.

Do the rules in the gasser class say the seat has to match ? Just put in a different seat.

The extra seat is not really going to be a deal breaker for all the folks who love this kit and who will still buy it. What I was referring to is that Revell has a habit of responding to customers who call them with parts issues.

Replicating the seat may be a good beginner subject to learn resin casting on. Just a thought.

Either buy the kit or don't, we are lucky they redid a whole new willys kit after the tooling on the original wore out, There never is going to be a perfect kit. and they did run that car with only one seat in match race trim and in other sanctioning bodies. Sure it's a omission missing one seat but it's a great kit. My gosh if there are so many race cars kits that are wrong or missing things that if I went by the criteria of a missing part I wouldn't have the joy of owning them and would have nothing to build, thats why we have a thing called scratch building and another thing called a parts box. I think we are lucky that the model companies haven't folded in the economy the last fews year, so I can live with a missing seat.

Holy c*ap! What a bunch of cry babies. These Revell Willys kits are some of the best drag kits ever made. The engine alone is almost worth the price as it can be used in so many different '60's era cars.

There are always those who are never satisfied like I said if you don't like it... don't buy it....And it is a beautiful 392 hemi in that kit.

A bunch of cry babies ? Never satisfied ? I see three people out of twelve that voice an opinion about a kit that they all obviously like, each admitting to having several in their collection. Yes there are flaws in some kits and yes we may wish these same kits could be better. I'd say Kevin, Nick and Joe have been around this board awhile and are entitled to their opinion.

I still like the older "fiddly" version of the Willys coupe, & there is a decal set to produce this version that was made by Slixx, the other things aren't really a problem.
