I just watched that Maverick go over my budget.

Wish I could get one. I have the Trans Am from them!!

And I have seen that Jeep kit a few times recently on evilbay too.

Never knew 'Stock-like' parts were in that box. I am interested in that one now

How 'bout a Ringo '56 T-bird?:

And some of us have no respect for the classics. ..

Have no fear, the one in the box is still sealed.

Dan...Missing Link has one out in resin...much better quality than the Otaki kit, IMO.

Posted this in the "What did you get today " section but I think it fits here as well. Never saw another one myself.

Some of the artwork on the boxes really brings back a lot of memories.

Like any good model builder in Wisconsin, I built a Green Bay Packers van when this kit was first released. Think I still have the rest of the decal sheet someplace.

Heres a Dr. Pepper one

I bet all those ship in a bottle builders wished that their bottles had a removable bottom to their bottles! Yes I to wish they would reissue these, would get a case of each one........well maybe just one of each!

That dragster is in 1/43rd scale and closely resembles Tony Nancy's car! It  has a pretty nice blown hemi and supertrick wheels!

I came across this little gem:

MFS14702.jpg

And this seemingly polar opposite twin pack:

twin_pack.jpg

The twin pack I found during a Google image search. I couldn't access the original image (PB is blocked at work) and the original page is supposedly a thread on this very messageboard but the link is broken. I would like to find out more information about this as the Chevy pickup looks to have different decals than any other issue.

The twin pack was a K-Mart special...one of several different two packs made for K-Mart over a period of two or three years. The Chevy truck has the same basic decals as the Hot Rod issue, but they were printed in green rather than red. I don't think they were used in any other issues of the kit. The parts were molded in metallic green...the same color used for the Revell 1992 Grand Prix GTP and Monogram Callaway Corvette Speedster.

That is correct. It is the Champion Spark Plug version. I have this version, not the greatest kit but nice to have anyway.
