Garage Diorama

Since I mostly build large scale I needed a place to display my stuff.

I've been collecting odd's & ends for a garage dio for over a year and think I finally have enough.

I was given some lumber and sheetrock this week so I decided to start the project.

It's 4 ft X 8 ft with scale 12 ft walls.

I bought some OSB for wall framing and cut door & window openings.

The walls will be covered with scale pine siding for a rustic look.

The interior floor will be concrete grey and the street will be simulated asphalt or gravel.

Here's a pic of what I've done so far.

Nice start. Where did you get the motorcycle and what kit is it? Am I right to assume this is 1/8 scale?

Marc

The bike is a diecast Vance & Hines Top Fuel drag bike.

Yessir, it's all 1/8th.

I still have a lot of trim and detail work to do but it's coming along.

Here's the front with a couple more bikes.

[Where did you get the delivery and the pick-up bodies? Is the chopped T a Lindberg or is it resin? If it's resin, where did it come from? Great dio. My wife would cut off both my hands, if she saw me starting something that size. You are doing one heck of a job yours though. Keep the progress pictures coming.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. It's been fun doing this.

I like to see your's Neal, please post the pics.

The tool boxes are Snap-on promos. Got them from evil bay.

The pick up body was scratch built by me starting with a resin cowl.

The chopped T and delivery I built using a Big T and Big Tub body as a base then added the sides and roof.

Here's how I did it pics of all three

Found some more great stuff for my "Never Ending Diorama".

First, every garage needs a trash can. Got this at a Georgia WM landfill.

Then I got some beer cans & whiskey bottles today.

Gonna scatter them around the trash can.

The antique glass door knobs will be great shift knobs.
