I built this about 4-5 yrs ago. I had some extra Harlequin basecoat leftover from a customers car, and I had to put it on something. I figured the old lady:) HATES El Camino's and color change paint, what better motivation for a build. Rear tires from AMT custom 57 chevy, same as elky kit, just wider. Shaved handles,emblems,and hood bulge vents, otherwise out of box. One of my favorite builds, AMT got the stance right on this one. Now go build something

I love it. I know color change paint may be passe' today, but i'll always love it, be it pearls or just all out color shift. I've got this kit sitting somewhere waiting to be built and this one makes me wanna drag it out and start on it. Great paint work, and overall the kit looks great.

Outstanding choice of color Rob.I too like the color change paints and you did a great job of detailing it also.I have the same type of motivation (wife hates Novas so I have 3 or 4 kits I can't wait to build).
