I was thinkin the same thing. I've been scouring around looking for kit wheels that would be appropriate for this build.


Modelhaus has copys of the stock wire hubcaps from the '77-'79 promos.

I picked up one of these kits a couple weeks ago and was surprised to see how close in size it it to the promos. Just looking at the body out of the box it looks conciderably larger than the JoHans but it isn't.

IIRC, the interior in this one is the same as in the first lowrider release. only the donk had the button tuffed seats.

Yeah you're prolly right. Button tuffed is tacky in my opinion. But yeah are those modelhaus copies still available?

Best I can find is the instructions so far. Haven't seen someone with a parts breakdown

I was doin some research on something unrelated and stumbled back on this project idea. Jon asked about pricing and looks like the Modelhaus reproductions of the promo wire wheels are $8.00.
