Been a while since I've been able to post any progress on a model with the new house and all so I thought I'd post a couple of my older builds that I haven't shown here before. Some of you have seen these pics before,,hope that's OK.

This was an AMT 'GMC stepside. The grill and front bumper is Modelhaus. Paint is Metalcast candy red over a metallic pink base I mixed up for it.

Now there is a model I can relate to! I had a 67 Chevy shortbox stepside in the late 70s that needed a motor. I found a 365 HP 454 in an ad in the classifieds and picked it up for $200.00. I dropped it in with a set of headers. It still had the original 3-speed trans with cheapo aftermarket floor shifter in it. I drove it for several years and did take it the strip once. It ran low 15s which I thought was decent.

By the way - great model. I wish my truck looked half that good!

Pegasus "Hellas" wheels.,,19" with thier Michelin Pilot tires.

I had a 69 short wheel base truck with a small block that was a killer motor .I got my last good ticket it cost me $200.00 for it.it was for doing 120 in 55 twenty years ago.but now I have 67 that I;m restoring it now little at a time.

I love the color, & the overall look, it's nice to see someone that knows the old trick of switching the stock rear bumper out for a '79 '80
El camino, or wagon rear bumper with lights, a bolt on that has a nice custom touch.
