Been a while since I've been able to post any progress on a model with the new house and all so I thought I'd post a couple of my older builds that I haven't shown here before. Some of you have seen these pics before,,hope that's OK. :)

This was an AMT 'GMC stepside. The grill and front bumper is Modelhaus. Paint is Metalcast candy red over a metallic pink base I mixed up for it.

Now there is a model I can relate to! I had a 67 Chevy shortbox stepside in the late 70s that needed a motor. I found a 365 HP 454 in an ad in the classifieds and picked it up for $200.00. I dropped it in with a set of headers. It still had the original 3-speed trans with cheapo aftermarket floor shifter in it. I drove it for several years and did take it the strip once. It ran low 15s which I thought was decent.

By the way - great model. I wish my truck looked half that good! :D

I love the color, & the overall look, it's nice to see someone that knows the old trick of switching the stock rear bumper out for a '79 '80
El camino, or wagon rear bumper with lights, a bolt on that has a nice custom touch.
