Well my face might not be that familiar, but I'm planning on being there. I've never done a national contest and I'm itching to try one.

Not that bad,The membership is 20$ you get discounts into any IMPS show,most hobby shops,and a magazine in the mail.It's a pretty good deal.

I am also going to be there with Puerto Rico's IPMS chapter, it will be easy to identify me, i use a wheelchair, so , see you guys soon....Barbo

If I read the IPMS info correctly, you need to be an IPMS member ($20.00 annually) and then pay a $25.00 registration to get your builds into the contest.

I'm going be spending all day at the show/vendors/seminars, while Marcia goes to DisneyWorld. Then we're going to hook up for DisneyWorld at night together.

Man, that's a $45 contest, and that's before I even get to the gas cost. I'll have to think on this.

Most of the Model Car Creations of South Florida members will be there. We will also have a club table with some of our models on it.

I just now noticed that too Rob,look how much the banquet & meal costs!60 big ones!The good thing is that it is optional.

The pricing IPMS set up is a ridiculous! Especially in this economy. You would think they would try to keep the prices down so more people could attend. IPMS has to be making thousands of dollars on this deal.

Gotta remember that this convention is on DISNEY property,That's gotta be a sucker punch to the gonaz to rent a DISNEY convention center for THREE days.

Don't knock it till you've been to one. It's well worth $25.00!!! And so is the IPMS membership fee. The best models in the world come to the Nats! (and that would not include mine! LOL)
