Still loving this thread.
It's always been my dream to cruise the country roads of America in some appropriate ride but visiting family in NY/NJ once in a blue moon seems to be as far as I ever get.
I think most of us here are pioneers or pilgrims in our minds. I keep saying I am going to stop along my incredible biways and hiways and stroll around taking pics of stuff that will soon disappear. Sadly, I never seem to take the time...and the buildings and vehicles are fading away. In Nevada, even the huge sand dunes and mineral-filled mountains shift and are cut down by erosion or mining. My last trip of two weeks revealed major changes in landscape that had seemed to defy time up until now.
We should all vow to stop at least 3 times and take pics when we see something interesting. That "lost" 30 minutes at our destination would be well paid for in better memories caught on film or bytes.
