You were lucky to have one...here we haven't had one in about 30 years...just a almost useless hobby lobby never gets much of anything but supplies. They do have brass tubing and paints though....I look at other things for building stock or supplies here we have to pretty much.

There is no one "best" place online. That's like asking what's the one "best" hobby shop.
Do a google search for what you want and you'll find dozens of sources.

As far as the brass tubing you want...start by looking at any stickers or packaging for a website to go to and see if they have an online service. One of the hobby stores here gets their metal stock, aluminum and brass, from K&S Engineering out of Chicago.

Hobby Linc and Mega Hobby are the ones I usually use for brass tubing , styrene tubing , and for paint . They both have a great selection and fast shipping . Also it is worth getting a Plastruct catalog . They have alot of tubing and styrene sheets . Most of it can be purchase by the piece instead of in packages , which is pretty convenient .

K&S Engineering and Special Shapes are now one, so any well stocked Ace Hardware store will probably carry a good selection, or can probably order directly from K&S. Ditto for styrene from Plastruct or Evergreeen.
As Harry suggested, let the Google and the internet do the leg work for you. You can probably get just about everything you want through Amazon.com, too...with free shipping.

Micro mark has some metal and plastic though I don't know how good the selection is or how prices compare with others. Coast airbrush has a large selection of paint including hok and wicked color.

You can get testors paints right from the testors website. Sold through them shipped from a more local distributor. I have ordered paint from them (They are based in Rockford which is 30 miles east of me) and recieved them from Evers Toy Store in Dyersville, IA (90 miles west). You can order Plastic shapes etc directly from Plastruct and get everything in their catalog. Haven't gotten brass from on line sources yet, but I think you can order directly from KS also.
