I got this from a board member on another forum and stripped it down, repainted it Testors One Coat Inca Gold, primer white front bumper and grille and added those custom wheels from a Thom Taylor die-cast Ford pick-up(I believe it is called the Hallucinator) and Slixx decals.

What model did you start with? Who made it?

Looks pretty cool. I wouldn't mind being hauled by that.

Harry I don't know who it's made by,my guess would be Maisto and it's a 1953 Chevy. The paint was worn on it when I got it,it was Blue and Black.I stripped it down to the shell and soaked it in Purple Power.Sprayed Dupli-color sealer then primered it with Dupli-color White. There were no wheels and tires with it and the Hallucinator die-cast had fallen off a shelf and bent the A pillars and broke off some pieces, that's why I used the wheel and tire combo on the wrecker.

I did some research and it's a Jada die-cast.

Very nice George.

A company going by SS made a nice 1/24 early 50's Chevy wrecker as well. It may be a stub nose, can't remember for sure.
