Have not posted in awhile. When time is available I have been workin on pieces for a dio that I have in mind. Here is some of the rock columns that I have done with lamp posts. All is three demensional, freestyle drawn and etched and painted Still adjusting the colors. Rock varies so much.. Working on connecting walls now. Time consuming. The brickwork under the dragster is a different scale Thanks for lookin.

I was in the masonry business MANY years, & having worked with a lot of stone, l can tell you, the smaller the stone the harder it is to get good results. This is some good looking work! Bart.

Posted ImageHere are some more pieces I have been workin on. Do not know exactly where I am going with this but have enjoyed using different techniques and mediums. The large brick lookin wall is really meant to be block but the coloring suggests brick. It is 1/16th and was created to be a backdrop for a 1/16 '32 RR I finally finished. The other stuff is 1/24 scale. Am hoping I can inter mix these without it lookin too outa sorts. But if not I will continue on. Actually the wall with the bars is the front of an old jail house I had in mind but I thought I would put them together to see what they look like. The fireplace is 3/16 foamboard and the rest is packaging and styrfoam insulation. The stone faced building is packaging with adhesive grout spread and then scribed. The other rock work is scribed directly onto the styrfoam. The coloring is cement dyes and acrylics. Stone and brick come in all sorts of different colors, shapes and sizes, so I am playing around with those. The hardest part of this whole process is the posting....anyway....here goes again. thanks for lookin

Here is some more. Made the rock look a little better and added the brick in the center of building. Just playing around with rock and brick. Still might use the wall as a backdrop. Will add some wood trim to the doors soon.
