I enjoyed building the 409 engine, the silver valve covers contrast with the Chevy orange block. It's a neat looking motor with the dual quads and "425" hp decals on the valve covers. Other than some engine detailing it's an out of the box build. Thanks for looking.

Very nice, great attention to detail, very accurate in every way. Except... why the missing rear-view mirror?

With a 409 , Harry , what ends up behind you no longer counts ! Lol!

Wow, absolutely beautiful. Really an inspiration to start working on my detail skills. Just love a 409 too.

Really like these old Chevy W-Blocks! :D You did very good job with this BelAir, engine detailing is super and I like the color too.

Terrific build B) but how is this a Biscayne with the Bel Air roofline?

Harry, Harry, Harry... I'm surprised at you! Rear-view mirrors didn't become standard equipment by law until January 1, 1966. Unless it was a higher-line car, it was generally still optional equipment in 1962. I'm almost certain it was an option on this Bel Air, and I KNOW it was an option on the Biscayne.

(Other things we take for granted that needed laws to make them standard equipment: Seat belts - Front outboard positions, January 1, 1965, all seats January 1, 1966. Back-up lights: January 1, 1966)

Fine, very fine. Details are a joy to watch, especially that of the slightly open window was invented well.
