It has to be something with the AMC 20 differential..it's the only one that was perfectly round like that.

Sorry no, it has nothing at all to do with any AMC kit.

Hmmmm...interesting. Well that differential cover is definitely from an AMC 20 unit. That diff was only used in these cars.... Unless it's some kind of custom or show car model that had one transplanted in there! Model

???? It looks a like the Poison Pinto's differential cover and is chrome plated like the PP part is...:




...but if you say it isn't from that kit and isn't the same part also included in another kit, we'll keep guessing.

Dee sent me a PM guessing the Dog Catcher/Sand Shark tonight, so if it's the same part, he'll be up next.

AHA! We DO have a winner! Having never had a poisoned Pinto or rat Vega, I was unaware the cover was in those kits but there it is in all it's glory. I was going for Dogcatcher/Sand Shark by Tom Daniel. Well done and...you're up! (I couldn't see it well enough in the rat Vega pic, sorry)

See... I was right...it had to be in some kind of custom or show rod...just didn't know which one! LOL That's a very unusual differential to be used in a custom I'd say! Good one!
