OK This is a one time issue from an American Model manufacturer. The assembly is from a built model and has had its paint and chrome stripped in the blue pond.

The green gave it away , only kit I've ever seen molded in that color .

This is hard one, there are many kits with that kind of scoop in it. I actually guess that I have that same part somewhere in my parts box, but I really don't know where it is from.

Is there white plastic under the chrome plating?

Maybe the challenger, its reddish orange on the box, i know it has one, i think it was a monagram kit
