This is hard one, there are many kits with that kind of scoop in it. I actually guess that I have that same part somewhere in my parts box, but I really don't know where it is from.

Is there white plastic under the chrome plating?

No .

Maybe the challenger, its reddish orange on the box, i know it has one, i think it was a monagram kit

Is that a seam where the two halves mate, or is that a mold seam on a one-piece part?

I just checked all of my Zingers and those scoops are smaller than this one .

Your ruler hint seems to indicate this part is larger than 1/25 scale?

Is it from the 1/20 MPC Gridiron Grabber?

It has been over 72 hours since I posted this part so here are a couple more hints .

1 - The kit is molded in yellow plastic .
2 - There is no scale specified on the box .
