Okay , here's an odd piece but I have a feeling every one will guess it !

Posted 27 March 2013 - 01:39 AM
No , but that's a really good guess !

Maybe a step plate from a truck kit?

Maybe a step plate from a truck kit?
Nope . Maybe it's harder than I thought .
In order to keep this moving along I'll give a couple of hints . The first one is a photo of the other side of the same part .

Hmmm, a dual supercharger drive, maybe...AMT '62 Vette?
Posted 28 March 2013 - 10:03 AM
I've got that Vette, dont think it was from there. Looks like a dual engine dragster part, or maybe a motor sickle chain drive.
Posted 28 March 2013 - 10:24 AM
No , it's not from the '62 Vette and it's not a motor sickle chain drive . The tool maker must have been having fun putting the details inside since it can't be seen when it's finished !
Hint # 2 : It is an AMT kit .
edit : The original issue was MPC . It was reissued as an AMT .

Jawbreaker?

I had to look that one up , I'd forgotten what the heck it was ! It's MPC and AMT but not the kit this part is from .

AMT Paul Revere & the Raiders Coach
Yes ! The Raiders Coach was originally a MPC kit and was reissued under the AMT name .
The part is the rear cover of the dual drive rear axle .

Your turn Derick !
