I didn't see this mentioned in the Truck section, so I figured I'd post what Tower Hobbies has listed for this upcoming reissue of the 1/16 Pete 359 kit. List price is $71.99 (that seems to be less than half of what the original issues sell for on eBay), and there's no specific release date listed, but there is a picture:

The re-issue should be hitting shelves anytime....you can also find it listed at mega-hobby; I think it was $63.99 there.....I always use tower hobbies, they are evry good. Remember that this is an SSP re-release; so it's kind of a one shot deal. Plan your your projects and just order a stack while you can. Tower hobbies will generally have a special when you spend more than $100; and throw in free shipping. They also send me e-coupons monthly as well; which are usually good for another $10 off the total price. I ordered a BUNCH of payhaulers when they came back out....bottom line was just over $14.00 a kit!!! I also hear rumors of R/G re-issuing the KW kits late 2012....Matt

If they really are reissuing the Kenwoth kits, that would be great! I really want to try mu hand at one of those. Not excatly sure where I'll put it when I done with it, though. :)

Dennis over at Model Express has a 1/16 flatbed listed for $109. If they reissue the trailers (and that's a big IF), I think it will be less expensive than that.

Justin; The 1:16 flatbed ACTUALLY measures 35ft! I was kinda surprised that it was so off when I chopped up two of them last year for my double load logger............. These trailer kits have been quite affordable on ebay lately when they show up............Matt

So you actually need two kits to make a 40ft trailer. Heck, if you're going to do that you might as well do a 48ft or 53ft trailer, assuming that you have the room!

Yes, they are short. I thought a good real subject for them would be a Home Depot trailer.

I guess with the price of the Pete at $71u.s. that will kill the overpriced ones on Evilbay. I have also read somewhere on the net that they R going to be a very limited offer of aroound only 2,500 kits so it will first in best dressed I guess.

This kit is actually slated for a May 2012 release (providing Revell doesn't change the schedule), so shops on Revell's preferred buyer list should be getting them end of May, early June, the rest probably a week or 2 later.

Just an update on this kit, latest I have from Revell is that it has been pushed back to a July release now. And how their releases come out, will likely be late July or early August before it hits the shelves....that is of course unless it gets pushed back again.

Are you planning to paint yours as on your avatar, Mike? That paint scheme looks good!
