Would be funny to hear it for sure. Hard not to try and imagine it now! LOL

If Mike can't successfully remove those taillights in tact, I have a thought. If these have taillight panels similar to the AMT Dirty Donnie Chevy, there is an easy solution. Foil the indentions and use clear red on acetate or any other spare flat clear plastic.

Ended up doing something similar. Foiled then flowed in tinted resin. Only, I forgot the back up lights.:-(

OK, got her done.Simple curbside, no wiring etc.

She burns a little oil so he just picked up a case on the way home.

Heheh, very cool, Mark. I had a '76 Dodge van for several years (and it was my Dads before me, for ages), so I've got a soft spot for them. Sure wish they hadn't goobered up the tooling for this kit, though! I trashed two of the older tool bodies in an attempt to make mine early on in my return to modeling. It was a lwb with the extended rear, so I tried to stretch it to match. Can't find it now, so it must have been pretty bad. One of these days I'll take another stab at it. At least now I know how to do it with just one body.

Thanks Johann, after the bulk of the weathering, I went back over most of the vehicle with Vallejo pigments using a cotton swap, with the tape in place for the wiper blades. Then, I took a fresh cotton swab and pulled the "dust" down to where I liked it. (wished I had used a darker color as a side note)
After I pulled it down into place, I misted the windshield with alcohol to set the pigment in place. It is not rock hard, but will not come off with light touches.
At that point, I simply used a tooth pick that I dulled the tip a bit, and did my best to not mess it up too bad! LOL

A fellow modelcarlist.com guy made these decals for me around 2003, and they just got placed on their intended truck this year.

Originally intended to be more of a street machine than a weathered work truck, this is how it ended up. Curbside for the most part, but the engine is there. This was build from the poor Emergency 911 kit.
