Here's a quick list of the 1/25 Chevy (and one GMC) van kit released by Revell over the years, in no particular order...

1) Car Craft California Cruiser - I believe this was the first issue of this kit, coinciding with Car Craft magazine's 1:1 build of the same van:





2) Charlie's Angels - molded in pink, and if you had a pulse in the mid-late '70s, you know all about the TV show this van was (loosely?) based upon:




3) Convoy Van - in both U.S. and Mexico (under the Lodela name) boxes:






4) Hardy Boys Van - the lone GMC-branded version, which did have GMC-specific nameplates/emblems molded on the body shell:






5) '70s Custom Van - the most recent reissue:




6) Quicksand Chevy Van, which included a trailer, Honda Odyssey ATV and a Husqvarna dirtbike:




7) Mean Mudder, which included on Husqvarna dirtbike:

9) Brute Force - the "big rig" styled van:

Great work! Love the van threads starting to happen, no such thing as to many vans!!!

These kits are look great when built, however I wish they would have done a better job with how the interior tub attaches to the body.

I remember building that California Cruiser van after reading about it in Car Craft. I sooooooooooo wanted my folks to buy a van so we could customize it. For some reason my parents brought home a Ford wagon with woodside paneling instead!

That's what I was thinking, even more so when the two versions of the Convoy Van appear to be one of each looking at the box arts.

Lol,if i had a poind for everytime ive been asked that.i would like the mean mudder version aswell.
Ive also got the ford bronco 4x4 that goes with the quicksand and the chevy pick up with 'sandman' dune buggy.
I guess revell did These vans as sets then?

I open all of mine, factory seals last seconds at my place.

You'd be amazed how many factory sealed kits are damaged inside due to things like the tyres melting into windscreens etc. I open mine and make sure they're packed safely.

I'll get them all one day, just picking them off one at a time..............

Thanks for the history lesson Casey. After reading this thread I got inspired to get out my 70's Custom Van and start working on it again. It seems to me that this kit is a little large or the MPC Dodge that I just finished is a little small. Here they are side by side. The Dodge is a long wheelbase and the Chevy is a shorty.

Any facts?
