I found this link recently about a guy named Anders Malmberg who built a 1930's locomotive machine shop in 1:87 scale. This will blow your mind considering the scale.

I've done 1/87 scale models, what he did is truely amazing. It takes alot of work to put that much detail,in that small of scale.

That is beautiful work for "HO" scale. When you have the chance, Google, Chuck Doan and take a look at his work. Check out "Fordson Farm" and the "Groveland Garage". As well as the "Red Oak Garage". Chuck's work has been a real inspiration.
