First off Brandan I'm not here to over ride your post,I'm just posting what I do here to help you and others instead of directing anyone elsewhere.
If it becomes a problem just let me know.

I'll go ahead and show you the out side of the frame before putty.
This frame will be cut again around the sleeper area because I added a third axle even though its cut twice it will still have no sagging problems
I set a bottle of 20 oz water on this one for a weight test and its just fine.

Step 1 Pieces glued into gaps.




Step 2 File the edge's square.


Step 3 blend edge's with factory frame.



Step 4 Putty and paint once thats done you'll never know the frame has been cut.

oh ur not takin over my thread lol. i always check out other peoples pages for anything that might help my builds and if my thread helps somone else thatll be alright with me. im sorry i havnt been posting much, got a lot goin on right now and am taking my time with the build no need to rush lol. i started repairing the frame tonight hopfuly it works better this time lol. and i got a bit done on the motor i might have to get new brushes becaue this yellow is tearing them up so the paint dont look right. i also got one fuel tank done and painted might take 2000 and wet sand it so itll be nice and smooth and shiney lol. ill have pics up tonight but for now i havnt done a whole lot

well as promised heres some updated pics
this is my fuel tank in primer and sanded

and fixing the frame a little better still have to find some thick plastic strips for the outside rails

I got my frame strech finished except for putty wich ill finnish tomaro i also did some cutting and lowered it a little. Been workin on it here and there got pics taken bit will have to post tomaro

i would have updated a long time ago but my photobucket wasnt working right so far i finnished the frame up i think it turned out great




make some plates to cover the rear frame and make it look all pretty. im still in the process of it right now


heres a mock up the stance i lowered it a little bit but not so much that it cant be used as what these were intended for

since i dont have alot of money for aftermarket parts i decided to make my own rear fenders and rear bumper from scratch. i used a garage sale sign and some styrene and a lot of super glue lol i think it turned out great for what i had to work with



since it was irritating and time consuming ill be making the other side some time else lol
i also got bored an make a 5th wheel cover that i can take off and put on whenever i want to

Well i finaly got that other rear fender. This trucks been a fight im taking my time i cant get the tank seams filled like i want n other small seams i know my fenders arnt tje best but im still working on scratch building ill have pics up tomaro. Now what to do for that rear bumper!

well i got them pics finaly lol. this truck is definatly a slow prosess



i dont know if i want to keep n smooth the rear fenders or just buy new resin ones im not very happy with the ones i made. thats all the progress i have for now

it takes time too get it rite.keep trying. Guys have worked on stuff a year to get it rite.

Hi dont give up your doing a good job so far i have been building trucks and cars for years now and I would still take a lot of time to scratch parts and sometimes i would throw the part into the bits box and start over again !

Thank you for the suppirt. I will keep working on it its alot of fun it make ur own parts i wish i could keep my lines a little straiter i might invest in a cutting board and a jig for my angles n i think tjat will help impove things

Get yourself a good rightangle metal square a steel rule 6in and 12in long and cutting mat just these few tools will help loads

alrigth thank you ill put the mat on my xmas list since the wife dk what to get me n ill definatly look for a square im sure i have one in the garage. the right tools definatly make life easier.
