The re-issued Badman kit is out already as I picked up mine last Saturday at my LHS.Maybe, I say maybe. When they come out ( not yet, right ? ) we should all get one and build them up and see what we all come up with ?????

well its has te wrong valve cover for a 396CID engine? Dislike the exhaust system molded into the chassis.
It's the whole wrong engine. And yet is has the molded exhaust left over form the original kit, but it's nothing a dedicated builder cant overcome.

Not really. It's supposed to represent a small block bored & stroked to 396 ci. Considering Chevy had a 400 ci. small block from the factory it's not unrealistic, although those had a specific engine block. The crankshaft from 400 ci. engines are used to produce the very common 383 ci. stroker engines.

Not at all. There's no way a 283 (the actual engine in the kit) can be stroked out to 396 cubic inches. I've heard that story for years. I just wonder who made it up?

It's a "for fun" kit, nothing more...unless you want to make it more than that.

A little over twelve days later and this is what I came up with using this old kit. 100% accurate? No. 100% fun? You better believe it!
Roger, that looks very cool. I like it.
