The second model I did as a kid was the Opel GT. Mine is yellow and sort of burgandy.

nice build. I have the older kit of this. How did it go together? Any issues with fitting?
No major fit issues except predictably with the hood, which is slightly too short and doesn't want to sit flush in the closed position. Weirdly, the lower part of the nose (from bumper height down) is integral to the floorpan in this kit. To prevent an ugly seam and potential fitting problems at final assembly, I cut it out of the floorpan and glued it to the body before painting. If I recall correctly (having done this one in fits and starts) I also trimmed the front inner fenders somewhat to get the chassis to mate cleanly into the body. The most pleasant surprise was that the glass all fit like a dream. This is not a bad kit, though it would be a challenge to create a proper engine bay. Lots of flash, of course, and several mold lines on the body that needed attention.
