My club had this for a common build theme - due in May. Needless to say, I missed the deadline. I did manage to finish it now, though.

Kit is the recent reissue '64 GTO - paint is Duplicolor primer and Duplicolor dark cherry red metallic. It is built to represent a "burnout machine" - the kind of car somebody has that is in construction, but meanwhile, is darn good at wasting tires.

Engine is a 615 Chevy big block from the Revell 55 Chevy Pro Sportsman kit - borrowed some parts from the parts bin (manifold, front cover, headers, etc) - painted Pontiac engine blue from Model Master.

The mirror - I was going to hang it traditional style but found a few reference pictures like this this:

I liked the non-traditional look. The side mirrors were optional in 1964 as far as I could tell, so they were mounted in different spots, even on the door.

The mirrors are done like the euro super cars of the era ,
And i really dig the whole vibe of the car also
