i haven't got hot rod in years...... what on these pages?

Leg me put it to you this way: If I saw pg. 77, 84, or 90 just before I died I'd be OK with it.

As a mini trucker, I have gone to many truck shows on the east coast. And, of coarse, have read Mini Truckin' Magazine for close to twenty years. Almost every single cover truck in recent years lays body or frame and looks really good on the cover. But 99% of them have scuffed and banged up rocker panels in person. Even if they don't drag them, some get damage when laid out on trailers. So, nothing really new to me to see a flaw to a cover vehicle. It's not like they are competing for the Riddler of anything so, it's all good.

I always say Chevys leak it and Fords drink it. But at least you can easily fix it when you know where it leaks.

Scrapped rockers are a little different then oil leaks. That's kind of badge of honer, like a quarter panel full of tire/bleach box left overs. You would expect that from those types of vehicles. As much as I tried when I was little, my mom wouldn't let me out of the house come hell or high water with out combing my hair and tucking my shirt in.
I guess I figured the cover shot ment a little more then some have expressed.

Which Rover? I was under the impression that Land and Range Rovers were very, veeerry distant relatives of the Jeep, that marking it's territory could be hereditary!

If you can show me an old Jeep that isn't leaking, I can show you a Jeep that needs it's fluid levels checked

REALLY hard to see, don't think so.
Just. Something I noticed and thought I would bring up, see what everyone else though, I don't think it calls for a total tear down, heck I would probly run it, and who knows, maybe it has a crankcase problem with the super charger. But a rag would have taken care of it for the shoot.

Seems like for a photoshoot, the owner could just take a rag to the chrome and clean it up a bit.

finally got to see pages 76, 84 and 90. nice, but that rat-rod style chick dosn't do much for me. i found myself flipping back to the cars

as far as the oil leak, when i see this guy at the local cruize, i can say, "hey, your car was in Hot Rod abd it leaks oil" how proud will he be that i know his car by the oil leak.

those are not real eyes, they are photoshopped in.... probably like the oil leak.

Everybody should take a deeeeeeep breath and pump the brakes..... Let's have fifty posts debating the validity of some of those Gals assets . At least study those pictures for faults would be enjoyable!

BTW: Whenever I have my car at a show or cruise and someone tries and pick my car apart I just ask them where their car is. The critics usually shut up and move along.....
