If you can get your hands on any of the Moebius Chrysler kits, or the AMT '57 300, ( or pictures of the kits engine) you will find out where the oil filter went on the early Hemi's, my poor old memory fails me, since my little brother had a blown flat bottom with a 392 in it that had this same filter set up in it, but that's been almost 30 years ago & I've slept since then.

I'm guilty of not following every build thread at times. How I missed this….

Art, this is a gorgeous build! The suspension fabricating….the paint detailing…. the body & finish…. the color combination….the wheels. Each assembly is stunning, thank you for posting & explaining the build.

Including the fix no one had to know about. Thanks for showing us we all have stuff that happens to a project and how to properly deal with it.  B)

I saw this up close and personal today at the NNL.  The pics don't do any justice and is even better in person.

Hey guys,

Thank you all for the nice comments. I'm glad some of you got to see it at the NNL West yesterday. I really wanted to have it done in time to take there, but it just didn't happen. Next year, I guess...

Art... beautiful work brother!! Man is it gorgrous. Were the rod ends from RB Motion? I cant wait to see the next update.

Hey Chris, I made the rod ends out of styrene rod and guitar string, then I painted them with Testors Aluminum Plate Metalizer as a base and Alclad Transparent Red over that. I think I posted pics of how I made them earlier in the thread, but it was over a year ago, so I'm not surprised you didn't see it.

Thanks for looking, my friend.

So, here's what it looked like at the show. It turned out to be kind of a popular display, which caught me by surprise.

Art, that's absolutely gorgeous. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the final result will be.

Someday, I will make it out to NNL-West. California is a nice improvement over New England most years, even if just for an extended weekend.

I spent 9 days in Old Town, San Diego on vacation a few years ago. Wow…. what a beautiful part of the country. Every day was beautiful…. nothing looks weather-beaten and old. Nothing looks like it's been painted over multiple times to hide rust & corrosion. I look at NYC and sometimes it reminds me of a futuristic image of the decay of mankind. Then I realize it's just my hometown…..

Yeah, I'd love to have a reason to head West again. Just to convince my Wife why we need to be there…. Model Show is a good start.

And as for Art being surprised over the attention, your being humble. That Willy's looks almost too good to assemble. All those fine points will be hard to see….  B)

Wow, Art!   I can't believe I have missed this thread for all this time

Found it and read it from start to finish today.  Glad I did.  Very impressive!

Hope to see it at Desert Scale Classic 10.

Thank you guys!

With the injection, I needed to make a fuel pump to go along with it. I thought about using the fuel pump from the Monogram sprint car kit, but it's just a little too bulky. So I decided to make my own, using the cap from the sprint Hilborn pump.
