Started this a while back. Real truck belonged to a friend of mine, I drove it for about a week while mine was being overhualed. This picture was around 1986. Truck was used to pull a wood chip trailer. '77 model, 290 cummins, ten speed, loooong hood! The fuel tank on this side at one time was a supply tank for an air starter, what a noise!

Just how they used to look! The stripe and polished front wheels was enough 'bling' to set it apart back in the day.

Yea Tim, the frt. wheels are attually the old chrome covers and I painted the stripe on it for him at some point to break up all that red!

Plain Jane... I love it!!! Chrome looks good but does nothing for performance. I say put your money where it does the most good... In the driveline! I LOVE no-nonsense trucks with the get-the-job-done attitude that this one has. I also love the fact that a lot of these plain looking trucks could outwork, outpull and outperform the fancier, tricked out 'large cars'.
