I would just use those carbs. Not like anyone is going to see them under that big air cleaner.

I'm not going to run fuel lines and linkage because of the clearance involved with the air cleaner, but it's going to be removable. That's why I'm not sure. Want to add some realism to the top of the motor, and just dont like something about the carbs.

Oohh I got ya! The kit carbs look pretty detailed... just not in chrome. Looks like they might work with aluminum and copper paints. What other carbs do you have? or...are there too many to post? lol

Thanks Bill.
Ran into a setback yesterday, and had to do some backtracking; or I would be further. Drilled out the heads for solder headers, and I just fought them ALL afternoon. The reason being is, I had just roughed in my exhaust and was trying to use THAT solder for my headers! DUH! Its way too big. Once I realizedI was using the wrong stuff, the smaller diameter solder wouldnt fit. Holes were too big. So I had to replace the heads. Luckily I've had a few of these kits over the years and had some extra heads to use. It'll be done right today! The cop car steelies and dog dishes are something I've wanted to do for a while. I love em too. Thanks again Bill.

I have several sets I could use. But will probably just go with these ones and tone them down a bit with alum, and gold or copper.

LOL, Theyre not gonna be purple man. They are from a kit I built a couple years ago, and just got sprayed a lil with some parts I painted purple. Will have the finished exhaust pics on here soon.
