I was actually outside power washing the siding on my house shirtless and in shorts soaked to the gills loving every minute of it. Now tonight its down to about 50ish. Love this type of weather. Id rather be in a windbreaker and running pants, that way I can just throw up my hoody, and paint. Ha ha. Dr. Cranky wouldnt have liked seeing me paint the other day as I was in shorts  Have since taken a different view on saftey after watching a few videos. Respirator is the next purchase. Snow well when I get some, Dr Cranky can get ready to accept a tractor trailer (reefer even :D) full of snow sent COD cause I'm having a tractor trailer load sent down to em ha ha.

I live in whats called the Ohio snow belt (over 200" of snow a few years ago. sure, i can handle winter and snow..... but why? i would rather handle how i am going to stay cool year round. sorry, but there is not one thing FUN about winter.....

chopping and stackiing wood
getting winter clothes out
preparing cars
driving in the winter (yea, sometimes that can be fun!)
brushing the car off every morning
wanting to go in when the dog want to stay out
snow blowing, shoveling
all the girls cover up

winters a PAIN!!!!

I paid my dues. Typical midwestern St Louis winter was a month of cold and wet, then cold and dry, then ice with snow over that.

We said there were four seasons to the city, nearly winter, winter, still winter, road construction.

I got up this morning and found a six inch wide strip of snow about one inch deep along the north edge of the house. Nothing else. Anywhere. Nothing on or under my truck. Nothing in or around the trees, under the bushes...nothing. Just that six inch wide strip. Bizarre.

40s??? That's like winter. I'm sure glad I moved to FLA. How many more cold, snowy winters can you handle, Harry?

Don't know. But eventually I'll get to the point where I say enough's enough and leave this state forever.

Harry that's why I am where I am. We also said you know you are from St Louis if you have ever used the AC and heat in the same 24 hour period.

Or wore shorts, and a parka!

Sure you are not from Ohio?

I have family in Columbus and Cleveland. The weather is the same for sure!

You are so right!

Yesterday it was 80 and humid, very warm and muggy. I had to turn on the AC in my car (because it was raining and I couldn't open the window). Today I have the furnace going.

Sheesh...

Good news is today it's all gone. Made my run, and not a flake in sight. However 100 miles north of here they got 14 inches. Trees, and power lines down. Personally I'd rather have the cold, than snow. Cold you can dress for. I used to deliver oil up on the U.P. of Mich. try pulling a 2 wheel cart loaded with cases of oil through a snow drift. Not fun.

Yea, I left work on my lunch break and thought I saw a snowflake as I stepped into the parking lot! This sucks, we haven't even done the brakes on my Jeep yet!

Snow Day? Don't get any of those around here.

That's just another thing I really miss as a result of leaving Colorado. The occasional day there was "too much snow to go to work or school," but we always managed to find our way to the local adult beverage dispensary and hang out with the gang, all of whom were similarly temporarily 'snowed out.'

On the other hand, I can tell you some doozies about some snow storms!

But, one thing about living in the Sonoran Desert. No snow days.

And the really bad part of it is this ... they never tell you to stay home because there's too much sun!

Snow means way more Saturday bench time. For me I would much rather have cold than heat!
It was too hot this summer even for Chicago.
Joe.

I agree Jaydar. You can always put more layers on but there comes a point where you cant take anymore layers off lol. I may get a bit of snow in the winter time but at least I can control the temperature in my work area. So hot or cold it won't really set me back any.

Na I prefer to be a bit on the chillier side. Running pants and a windbreaker and I'm good to go :D
