Here's a '72 Thunderbird pro-street.It was about 75% finished until a recent move ended with the chassis crushed beyond repair...but there was a few things I would have liked to do differently,so here's my chance.

I don't care when, why, or how... but that one MUST get finished! B)

Joker,

Where did you get the '59 El Camino Body from? I'm doing a Resto on one of my father's models; a '59 Lonestar Camino. The 'A' pillar is broken and an entire mosaic looking piece missing from the roof from a crush I suppose. If like to repair, but the styrene is so acient that body work is difficult. Maybe I can ship the body to one of you masters to help me with???

Great thread Doc!

Finished this one years ago. I'm surprised that I still have a photo of it in primer.

Here's one from several years ago that never made it past the primer stage

You like fastbacks as much as me ... would love to see some of these in a WIP.

Yeah, I think the fastback is the purest auto style.  I like the 3 box style the least.  Hatchbacks and humpbacks are also OK - I've been working on a 1941 Willys conversion to a humpback today, in fact.

Primered projects??

Gonna be here a while !!!

AMT 74 Mustang2 was painted green. Paint etched the body.

74-Must-Ls.jpg

JR Toys Resin 58 EDSEL Bermuda I am building as a Villager

58Villager-Ls.jpg

This is on a Modern tool 58 Pacer chassis and I cut the hood open. Was using an AMT 57 Ford,

so had already mounted the ford's Engine bay.

Another 58 EDSEL Project

58EdselRanchero-Ls.jpg

B pilar is scratchbuilt from strip styrene

2 More 58 EDSELS

58twins-Rs.jpg

Hardtop is box stock build, convertible is cut open and will have the Skirts & Continental kit from the Deluxe issue

Second group;

This is my FIRST EDSEL kit. Joe "Wheat's Nostalgia" resin copy of AMT's Original 58 Annual

Wheats58-rs.jpg

He did not have a chassis, so it is on an AMT 57 Fairlane chassis. (Not steering)

Does have the engine, but did not open this hood.

Last 58 EDSEL (Not Last EDSEL!!)

Project-Stretch-58-Ls.jpg

Yes a STRETCH!!!

Uses 3 roof sections (front & rear bodies +convertible's leftover), but may use 2 more. I

can't keep the 2 joint areas from sinking badly

59 Villager Wagon.

Resin-Villager-Rs.jpg

This one started with an extra 59 EDSEL hardtop & Ford Wagon Resin bodies.

Doing another in Styrene, but not getting as good a joint/bonding!!

Original AMT 59 Convertible

59Corsair-Rs.jpg

Got this as a built. Only missing the instruction sheet!!! Got the Box, custom parts, decals all stock parts, etc!!!
