PE parts can definitely be tedious to work with, but building models is a labor of love to begin with. Your best bet is to start with something less labor intensive than a carb linkage setup, to get used to it. Start with scripts and other parts that only require one or two parts at a time. Then, once you are more comfortable with working with them, you can move up to multi piece assemblies.

If you are talking about the throttle return spring, H.O. scale slot car brush springs are perfect for this. Sorry, I don't know what guage they are.what size wire do you use for the linkage to fit in thta small hole?

remember to google image search carbs if you really want to get your PE dressed carbs to look like the real thing.
