My inner monologue now sounds like Archer. :D I'm taking that as a sign it's time to get back to work. I'm pretty sure at some point my inner monologue was the Pink Panther, but since he never talked...how would I know? (yes I am aware of that televised abortion when Matt Frewer 'voiced' the PP, but I do not acknowledge it's existence).

This is a brief update but it will get me started so I can build up a little steam. After another trip to the craft store I picked up just a couple more Archeresque items.

First thing I did was strip the paint from the dash because it's finish is a little uneven and it needs a good sanding to get the overall surface evened up. I also wanted to make sure the beads I chose for the tumblers were going to look right versus the size of the glovebox.

These would be the 'Archeresque' items I mentioned. Never discount dollhouse items as a source of accesory. ;)
Next up is the beads i'll be using for the ice, (i'll be cutting open the glovebox and making an ice tray tonight) a green bottle which actually will wind up in the Pink Panther after I re-cast it and make it a pink champagne bottle. Same with the glasses. The shiny little square bead? I saw that at the craft store for a quarter (I need to find another one!) and I thought it would be awesome as the fancy square lid on top of the licquor decanter.

SO, let me get a little more organising done and i'll be getting to work, first on the ice tray and then on cutting out the glovebox door. :)

This is even better! I'm still opening the glovebox door but I couldn't wait to post this update. I'm very happy with how the "ice" and glass came out. Sheet plastic tray with ice held in place with future.

When I bought the champagne glasses I got a discount because while waiting in line I noticed the stem was broken off of one of them. Little did they know, I already had a plan! I'll remove the stem from another one and i'll have my bar glasses. They're not an exact match but they are close enough for government work. Besides in 1/25th scale I don't think anyone will notice when it's not a macro-pic.

That means alot coming from you Doc, thank you! :)

Bryan, I know season three comes out on DVD in January, and if i'm not mistaken season four starts mid February. :)

Now...anyone got some ideas on how to make the bar slide out when the door opens? :D I know i'll probably wind up with it fixed in place but I really want it to move!

Correct! I have some small C-channel I can use for tracks, so really I only need to figure some way for the connection between the door and tray to pull the tray forward when it's opened and of course push it back as it closes. There's plenty of room for mechanism behind the dash because it's a curbside kit.

Thanks guys. :)

Got a little further down the road. I finished up both glasses, and i'm really impressed that the beads still look like ice, even in this extreme closeup.
Posted Image

I also got the glovebox door removed, but the scribing process opened up a wider gap than what was originally there. This works for me because I planned on enlarging the glove box opening just slightly to accomodate the mobile liquor cabinet. Now it's just a matter of smoothing out the edges and corners of the glovebox and adding a little plastic to the door. When I add to the glovebox door i'll hide the hinge wire in the new plastic. :D

Next up is building the glovebox itself and the bar tray. (tried to edit this into the previous post but it gave me a buncha argument)

Haha - I love those tumblers! That little ice tray turned out great and that ice lasts forever. There is nothing like a non-alcoholic beverage with ice, Dodge cannot stress that enough.
