Time to strip the trunk lid and repaint. Some CA leaked from the hinge, covering the lid. It took the paint right off in certain sections.
As Ralphie put it so eloquently, "ffffffffuuuuuuuudge".

I cant count the number times that has happened to me, I guess least it was on the trunk lid, better to strip that then entire body, but everything is looking just great, mighty fine job on this one, cant wait to see her all finished

Thanks Jonathon. It just infuriates me when I make such a classic mistake, one I've made way too many times.

It really does not look like the paint job needs to be wet sanded, I dont remember if you said how you painted, was rattle can or A/B?

A really nice effort to this point Doug. Now just scratchbuild yourself a scale-thickness windshield frame to top it off. Or better yet; a tiny comp windscreen for driver only.
And some real-looking sidepipes...

Thanks men. The only area I need to wet sand is the trunk which I had to repaint. I used Rust-oleum automotive clear from the can. It goes on nicely with a little orange peel, followed by wet sanding. I still have to clean up all the chrome parts and paint or chrome them, including the windshield frame. Stay tuned for more.
