[slammedi'am]

The local hobby store here had a small model contest today...So I took 2 of my cars and my son took one of his also...Was only gonna take on,the 72 Cutlass I did for the Revell contest but decided at the last minute to take the 66 Fairlane too....We entered and hung out for a bit but I had to go do some other stuff...We came back for the awards and noticed the Fairlane wasnt with the Olds...Look at the awards table and I took best paint....Really suprised me as I had spent more time on the Olds than the Fairlane..There was some nice ones there...My son didnt place but they did give him a gift card for entering....Didnt get any pics at the show(running late this morning) but snapped a couple of the car and plaque...Probably checking into some more shows next year

Congrates. It can be surprising what can win at a show. This summer I took a diorama, that I expected to place, and a 1/87 32 ford roadster that I didn't expect to do anything. The dio took 3rd and the roadster took 1st in their respective classes. You never know...

Congrats indeed! I must admit I'm jealous, however....one of mine won 'best paint' at our local HobbyTown's fall contest last weekend, but the award wasn't nearly as impressive.
