I think this is probably the 1ST 4 into 2 (with mufflers) into 8 into 2 VW exhaust system.

When the rear hatch door is on, you have to look to able to tell it's rear engined.....when I get the hood & side panels on it should look pretty much like a conventional front engined hot rod.

Maybe cut the header to three tubes instead of four, make people think it's a corvair eng.

Great stuff, Don. In 1:1, those flat4's make a real sweet special song when they've got long pipes like that to breathe through.

That exhaust is the epitome of creative thinking. As long as you were doing all that plumbing, though, you should have spliced in a turbo to get those donuts spinning.

Got the fuel tank & battery installed,found some seats in the parts box......now all I have to do is talk someone out of a '25 T hood and I'll be able to squirt some paint on this thing.
