Thanks for the link, Charlie! If I ever do this again that's probably how I'll do it, it looks so much easier than what I did and it keeps me from having to rescribe the trunk and door lines. (which I suck at lol)

Well I've opened the trunk and I managed to finish up the bodywork, all thats left is making the trunk jamb and scribing the door lines and then it's off to the paint booth for some pearl blue.

Thanks for the pictures Bryan! Those are a HUGE help. I'm doing some painting on the engine now, if all goes well i'll have an update later tonight.

I've started painting the interior pieces, colors are dupont intense blue, doeskin tan, and tectic gray.

Well I was able to get some batteries for my camera so here are some interior pics..



I also decided to shave the fender trim since this is going to be a mild custom, I might shave the rear fender trim too but I'm not sure yet.

I figured I'd throw in a quick pic or two of the other Olds I'm working on since I'm building both of them simultaneously.

Personally, I liked the way you grafted the top. It keeps the flow of the windows and body lines nice and neat. Great job!

This update is much appreciated and VERY critical for those of us who would like to do a fast back version of the 50 Olds......  the key issue here is the cuts that Billy has noted....

Thanks guys! Bill, I'll be bringing both of these along with my merc speedster in May. The motor is now done, pics this weekend. (school decided to block photobucket so I can only upload pics when I'm at my dad's house)

Leave the rear fender trim, that makes a great point of reference & adds a little "flash" to the side view (also helps people recognize it as an "Olds".
